A well written article from the NY Times. However, I disagree with the conclusion that the new, relocated Four Seasons will be worth watching. There will never be another Four Seasons.

Dear Peter: Thanks for the article. I hope you are doing well. I recently purchased a 1948 fourplex in Palm Springs. It is at 2784 Junipero Dr. not far from the Palm Springs visitor Center and nearby the Wexler Gas Station on South Palm Canyon. It is a great little building with a nice swimming pool. The neighborhood there is mostly single family homes. I love the architecture. It is sort of streamline moderne transitional. I have lots of plans for upgrades and we plan to take the end unit for ourselves once I sell my cabin in Johnson Valley. I am enjoying my retirement and have been very busy over the last two years. I did a two year term on the HHWNC as the Environmental Chair. Worked on a number of preservation projects. Right now I am concerned about the plans to demolish the Lytton Savings Bank Building at 8150 Sunset for the Gehry development. Let me know how you are doing.
